Study and analysis of Dejshahr Semiran space organization According to the results of archaeological studies in the north and northwest of the site

Abstract

Statement of the problem: In the current research, the main elements of the urban architecture of the fortress of the city of Samiran were studied and reviewed in accordance with the remaining cultural remains. This action led to better identification of the abandoned settlement system of the fortress of the city of Samiran, which had a relative human population in the early and middle Islamic periods.
Research objectives: with the aim of knowing as well as possible the influential factors in the formation of the spatial organization of the fortress of Samiran city and the roads and walls around this complex, which were recognized due to the existence of the Manjil dam, which has been disrupted in recent decades. Recognizing the spatial organization and analyzing it can be very important in the field of archaeological studies.
Research method: By examining and identifying the data and cultural remains left from this historical collection, it has been done in the way of archaeological field survey and analysis of library and documentary information in the analytical-historical research method.
Findings and results: According to the analysis of the written sources and the geographical and climatic features of this area, which seems to have had a significant effect on the formation of the fortress buildings of the city of Samiran, the spatial organization and settlement system of this area is linear and parallel to the river. Sefidroud and its communication roads and defensive walls were also built in the Islamic period following the aforementioned model.
