Abstract

Cultural reconstruction of the Taymurid period based on the illustrated Shahnameh of Baysangor Mirza Taymouri

Illustrated manuscripts of Iran's Islamic period have various cultural information such as: religious, political, social, cultural, historical, artistic, etc., which are important for historians, archaeologists, art history researchers and other scientists. Illustrated manuscripts in the Taymurid period have miniature paintings with different subjects that show different scenes of human activities such as: metalworking, architecture, weaponry, etc . One of the most important illustrated manuscripts in the Taymurid period is the "Shahnameh Baisenqor Mirzai Taymuri". According to the painter's inspiration from nature and realities, the miniatures of Baysonqor Mirza 's manuscript can identify different aspects of the social life of Taymurid people such as: clothing, architecture, dishes, military equipment, musical instruments, etc.
According to the above-mentioned contents, the author is trying to answer the following question with the help of field and library studies and based on descriptive, adaptive and analytical methods, whether the miniatures of this manuscript can represent various cultural aspects of the Taymurid period, such as: architecture, clothing, music, etc. The other goal of this research is to Determine the importance of Baysongori Shahnameh miniatures in cultural recognition and provide archaeological, historical and artistic information.
